Introducing the FM Series Heavy Duty Flow Switches

Suitable for the most arduous heavy-duty applications in industry and mining, the new FM series paddle
flow switches are built tough.  The entire switch body is CNC machined from solid aircraft grade
aluminium and 316 stainless steel.  The switch itself is superbly sensitive and it only requires
4 grams of force against its paddle to actuate its magnetically coupled switch.Two switches are
available in the FM range, a general purpose 5 to 500VAC SPDT or a 0 to 30VDC SPDT switch with gold
contacts for low wetting current applications.

Introducing the LM Series Heavy Duty Level Switches

A solid range of industrial and mining grade level switches suitable for tank level control in fully exposed
locations. The entire switch body of the LM level switch is CNC machined from solid aircraft grade aluminium
and 316 stainless steel. The switch itself is magnetically coupled to its float arm meaning there are no seals or
diaphragms to leak or fail within the switch.   Two switches are available in the LM range, a general purpose
5 to 500VAC SPDT or a 0 to 30VDC SPDT switch with gold contacts for low wetting current applications.

Outline

The TWM trailing wire flow switch is supplied with a 316 stainless steel process connection and is available in 3/4”
or 1” with BSP or NPT threads. The switch housing is machined from solid billet Aluminium. A 500V Single Pole
Double Throw (S.P.D.T) microswitch for general control circuit applications is supplied as standard with the TWM.
In addition a low voltage low wetting current model is available for signalling applications. A unique feature of the
TWM flow switch is its built in manual override. Using the manual override allows the system to be manually started
at  any time by simply pressing the button. It also makes testing and commissioning of systems very simple.
The TWM flow switch is available with wire sensors in various lengths from 50mm to 300mm (2” to 12”).
The required wire length must be specified when ordering. The flow rate required to actuate the TWM will depend
on many variables such as turbulence, liquid viscosity and the surface area of sensor wire exposed to the flow.

Outline

The TW trailing wire flow switch is available in two basic models, an all Polypropylene version and a Polypropylene / 316 stainless version.  Both versions are available with either a ¾” or 1” male process connection in either BSPT or NPT.  In addition, both versions are also available with either a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) microswitch for general control circuit applications, or with an SPDT reed switch, suitable for low Voltage PLC and telemetry applications.

The electrical module of the TW flow switch is completely separate from the process connection and wet end of the switch. The wet end assembly and the electrical module lock together with a single externally accessible screw.  This feature allows the flow switch to be disassembled and unscrewed from pipework without the need to disturb electrical wiring.

A unique feature of the standard TW flow switch is its built in manual override.  This allows the flow switch to be switched on at any time at the press of a button regardless of lack of flow.  Using the manual override allows the system to be manually started at any time by simply pressing the button. It also makes the testing and commissioning of systems very simple. Please note: when supplied with a reed switch, no manual override is included in the TW flow switch.
